Home Team Training Center

Technical Manager:
-       Prepare precast panel proposal,
-       Settle technical issues,
-    Prepare precast shopdrawing
-    Provide technical support to internal and external customers,
-       Manage daily operation of the design department,
-    Meet the target set by the company,
      -    Fully manage and be responsible for any technical aspects.

The two storey building was one of block in Home Team training center. Prefab Technology was engaged as percaster to design, produce and deliver precast façade for 1st sty.

Due to tight schedule, the structural work of building was already built to 2nd sty, thus, those façade at first storey could only be installed as non-critical panels. The panel needed to be inserted in between first storey slab and soffit of 2nd sty beam. Since the gap between panel and slab/beam was only about 25mm, it was not possible to install any lifting hook on top of panel for crane to lift the panel, we decided to use forklift to install panel. The panel would be hoisted near to final position, then use forklift to insert in the window and push into final position. And for those panels without window, small slot holes were provided for forklift installation purpose.

The residential project included 1 block 35th sty and 1 block 36th sty condominium flats (total 219DU) with 2 basement carparks located at St. Thomas Walk. I was project engineer to oversee the project.

The building was high rise building, it was very slender. The max acceleration was very near upper limit. Thus, wind tunnel test should be done to address the concern.

New Erection of a 10-sty Academic Block and a 6-sty Training Center at BCA Academy

The BCA academy new academic block and training center located at 200 Braddell Road was designed with lecture theatres, classrooms, social spaces, workshops and basketball court.

Precast Staircase

The staircase ST6 was design as insitu staircase, with 30 riser and a mid-landing separating the two slights. After discussed with main contractor and structural consultant, we proposed make the staircase flight precast, and the mid-landing slab insitu. So we would get two similar precast staircases, with pin-pin support at two ends. The longer span was about 5.2m, with simply support condition, the bottom reinforcement used was T13-100. At the support, T10 loop bar with cottering bar to hold staircase in position and for easy installation.

This project was a HDB built-to-order project located at Yishun Ring Road comprising 2 blocks of 14th sty residential building (total 310DU), 1 block of MSCP with ESS, senior care center and pavilion. I was the design engineer for this project, in charge for structural design of the project. The schedule was very tight. Original tender was about August 2013, however, preliminary architecture drawing was only available end of June. We used CSC Orion as the structural modeling software for structural analysis and design. The buildings were on bored piles, and conventional beam/slab system was used for typical sty. Lift core, staircase wall were used for lateral stability.
