The
two storey building was one of block in Home Team training center. Prefab
Technology was engaged as percaster to design, produce and deliver precast
façade for 1st sty.
Due
to tight schedule, the structural work of building was already built to 2nd
sty, thus, those façade at first storey could only be installed as non-critical
panels. The panel needed to be inserted in between first storey slab and soffit
of 2nd sty beam. Since the gap between panel and slab/beam was only about 25mm,
it was not possible to install any lifting hook on top of panel for crane to
lift the panel, we decided to use
forklift to install panel. The panel would be hoisted near to final position,
then use forklift to insert in the window and push into final position. And for
those panels without window, small slot holes were provided for forklift
installation purpose.
